Muhammad Shahid, MD RPVI FACC FSCAI

Dr. Muhammad Shahid graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. During his time at Rutgers, he earned the prestigious Henry Rutgers Scholar designation for his dedication to scientific research. He received his medical degree from Rutgers – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. While at RWJ, he was selected as Dean’s Scholar, receiving a full-tuition merit scholarship. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at RWJ followed by subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology at Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Shahid is an interventional Cardiologist, board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Ultrasound, and Internal Medicine. His research interests include premature coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, and percutaneous management of valvular heart disease. As an investigator, he has published in leading scientific journals and presented original research at national conferences.

Dr. Shahid provides consultative care in Monmouth and Ocean counties. He strives to offer patients evidence-based medicine tailored to each individual patient for optimal treatment.

Outside of the practice, Dr. Shahid enjoys spending quality time with his family, trying new local eateries and is an avid car enthusiast.
