Exercise Treadmill Stress Test

What is a stress test?

The exercise stress test (EST) is also known as an exercise electrocardiogram or treadmill exercise stress test.

During a stress test, you walk on a treadmill to make your heart work harder. The speed and incline of the treadmill progressively increases as per a pre-specified protocol. Your heart rate, blood pressure, and EKG are monitored throughout the test.
